Fred's radio show to be on 125 stations

Westwood One will launch "The Fred Thompson Show" into syndication on March 2 on more than 125 affiliates including market clearances in Washington, DC, Dallas, Houston and Minneapolis. The two-hour daily talk show hosted by the former senator, commentator and actor will air live from noon-2pm, weekdays from the WWI's studios in Washington.

"Of all the radio talkers out there, how many can say they've debated in the Senate; campaigned for President of the United States; had a successful TV career on Law and Order and shared the screen with Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, Robert De Niro and Sissy Spacek?" said Executive VP/News & Talk Programming Bart Tessler. "Thompson is as unique as they come and that will make for exceptional radio."

"This will be the biggest talk radio launch since Bill O'Reilly," added Exective VP Affiliate Sales Dennis Green. "We have not even hit the air and radio stations from coast to coast are ready for Fred Thompson to speak to their audiences about the issues that matter."
